About Me

Cinderella Mayo is a New York based performer originally from Manila, Philippines. She moved to New York in October 2015 to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She graduated in February 2017 and has been performing at cabarets, off-off Broadway shows, sketch shows, open mics, and is part of the National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) - Broadway Chorus. The NAAP was founded by Baayork Lee (recent recipient of the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award), Steven Ang, and Nina Zoie Lam.  

Before coming to New York, Cinderella spent four and a half years in Singapore as a performer and a teacher. She taught early years, drama, and musical theatre at Centre Stage School of the Arts. She was also part of Singapore Repertory Theatre's Young Co., a branch of one of Singapore's leading theatre company that focuses on training Singapore's aspiring performers. She was also involved in productions by the Singapore Arts Festival, Pesta Raya, Singapore Lyric Opera, iTheatre, Serendip Productions, and more. 

Mid-way her last year at the University of the Philippines, Cinderella branched out of university productions and worked with the touring production of Philippine Educational Theater Association's Mga Kwento Ni Lola Basyang (The Stories of Granny Basyang) and Batang Rizal (Young Rizal), World Theater Project's The Threepenny Opera, MMQ Productions, and more.
